Employment Land Adoption Statement

Wigan Council adopted the Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) Reuse of Employment Land and Buildings for Non-Employment Uses on 16 February 2006 but which came into operation with the adoption of the Replacement Unitary Development Plan on 26 April 2006.

Copies of the Supplementary Planning Document and the council’s Statement of the main issues raised during the consultation and how they have been addressed are available for inspection at the following locations and days/times:

Planning and Regeneration Department, Civic Buildings, New Market Street, Wigan
Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

Wigan Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan
Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

Leigh Town Hall, Market Street, Leigh
Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

All Wigan Council Libraries
During normal opening hours

Any person aggrieved by the SPD may apply to the High Court for permission to apply for judicial review of the decision to adopt the SPD.

Any such application must be made promptly and in any event not later than 3 months after the date of adoption of the Replacement Unitary Development Plan which was the 26 April 2006.
