Consultation on the schedule of modifications
Following the previous hearing sessions and submission of statements the Inspector has detailed changes that are required to make the submitted Core Strategy sound. These changes are included in the schedule of modifications document (.pdf, 634KB).

The deadline for comments to be received is 5pm on Friday 14 June 2013.
Comments should only be made on the modifications themselves. It is therefore not necessary to repeat comments or information submitted through previous representations. The Inspector will take account of all comments received before finalising his report to the Council.
Regional Strategy for the North West
The order to revoke the Regional Strategy for the North West was laid in Parliament on 24 April 2013. See Government announcement (External link).
National statistics on the projected number of households to 2021
The latest national statistics on the projected number of households in England and its local authority districts to 2021 (external link) were published on 9 April 2013. In the case of Wigan, detailed projections show an average annual increase of 1,022 households in the period 2011-21.
Any comments on the implications of the revocation of the Regional Strategy and/or the latest household projections for the examination should be sent to programmeofficer@wigan.gov.uk or to the address above by 5pm on Friday 14 June 2013. Again the Inspector will take account of any comments before finalising his report.
