The local authority National Type Approval Confederation, LANTAC, offers builders, developers and construction industry professionals a quick and easy route through Building Regulation plan approval.
All buildings and building systems given national type approval by LANTAC can be erected throughout England and Wales with only the minimum of site specific plan checking by the local authority. Type approval is a means of cutting out unnecessary duplication of checking work where buildings of the same type are constructed in different local authority areas, this reduces the need to produce costly drawings and details for each individual application and will result in an accelerated approval process.
