- Extension of buildings
- Material alterations to buildings
- Material changes of use of certain buildings
- Installation of controlled services and fittings (these include fixed heat producing appliances, baths, toilets, sinks, wash basins, controlled heating systems and domestic electrical installations).
- Material alterations to controlled services and fittings
- The insertion of insulation material into the cavity wall of a building
- Works to underpin a building
