Wigan Council, NHS Ashton, Leigh & Wigan, and Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust, are joining forces to deliver free swimming under the umbrella of Wigan Life.They aim to tackle inequalities in health, education and skills, and raise ambitions and aspirations across the community.
From 1st April 2009, Wigan Borough launches something for everyone that allows the children to burn off loads of energy, can be enjoyed with friends and is absolutely FREE!
Not only can the kids swim for free, now EVERYONE will be able to swim for free which means that mums and dads can get in on the action too (double the fun)!
Free Swimming for All is being administered through Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust's existing Lifestyle scheme. To apply for a Lifestyle card, telephone 01942 486901, visit Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust's website, contact your nearest leisure centre or or click apply for a lifestyle card.
