You will notice a number of changes to the Bulletin in line with the review of Support Services functions across the Council.
To safeguard employment the Council has decided that some job vacancies will only be open to people who are presently employed by Wigan Council in a support services role.
Posts that are restricted to applications from ‘support services’ staff will include the following line in the advertising text.
In line with the Support Services Review, this vacancy is only open to people who are permanently employed or have more than 2 years service in a temporary support services role within the council.
The review covers anybody who works in support services either within departments or as part of the central support services. These services include:
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Legal
- Assets and Property Management
- Policy and Performance
- Marketing, Communications, Print and Reprographics
- IT
- Administration
