Wigan Council is in the middle of a Pay and Grading Review and Support Services Review. As a result of this, to safeguard employment and support employees, the council has decided that some job vacancies will initially only be open to people who are presently employed by Wigan Council. Roles affected by the Support Services Review (SSR):
Support Services Review - this vacancy is only open to people who are permanently employed or have more than 2 years continuous service in a temporary support services role within the council who work in support services either within departments or as part of the central support services. These services include: Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Assets and Property Management, Policy and Performance, Marketing, Communications, Print and Reprographics, IT, Administration.
Roles affected by the Pay and Grading Review (PGR):
Pay and Grading Review - this vacancy is only open to people who are presently employed and appointed directly by Wigan Council or schools appointed employees that have signed up to the Restricted Recruitment Scheme. Employees must be in a permanent position or have more than 2 year’s continuous service in a temporary role.
