Working in Early Years and Childcare

The Children's Workforce Strategy Team, within Children and Young People's Services, provides practitioners working within the children's workforce with access to a range of continual professional development, for example level 2 - level 6 training qualifications.

The team also supports practitioners with training that is necessary for them to provide their service i.e. First Aid, Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, Basic Food Hygiene, Leadership and Management.  Accessibility to such training ensures that the boroughs childcare professionals are highly competent and confident whilst providing high quality services to children, young people and their families.

Please note these courses focus upon staff already employed to work within the children's workforce.
