House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Licence

From 6 April 2006, all Houses in Multiple Occupation of 3 or more storeys occupied by 5 or more people must be licensed.

Licences for Houses in Multiple Occupation in the Wigan borough are valid for a year and cost as follows:

Non-accredited Landlord £22 per occupant
Accredited Landlord * £17 per occupant

* Members of the Wigan Landlords Accreditation Scheme only.
