House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Inspection

From 6 April 2006, the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) replaced the Housing Fitness Regime as the new risk assessment procedure for residential properties. In addition, the "Management of Houses in Multiple Occupation (England) Regulations 2006" and the "Licensing and Management of Houses in Multiple Occupation (Additional Provisions) (England) Regulations 2007" set minimum standards for Houses in Multiple Occupation.
We can inspect your House in Multiple Occupation and take enforcement action to ensure it is healthy, safe and complies with the Regulations. However, you should attempt to resolve the matter with your landlord first. If you do not receive a satisfactory response, please contact us.
