Heathside Residential Care Home

In order to receive services at Heathside, a person must have been formally diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimer's Disease by a doctor, and must be independently mobile. They must also have been referred for the service by a community mental health team.

We encourage prospective residents and their families to visit Heathside, so they can meet the staff and other residents. It gives them the opportunity to ask questions, view the facilities and ultimately make an informed decision about whether or not the home will meet their needs.

If you haven't got a social worker or are not in contact with a community mental health team, contact the Central Duty Team to arrange for an assessment of need. This helps us to decide whether or not a person is eligible to receive services. We use Department of Health guidance 'Fair Access to Care Services' to work out eligibility.
