Fourways

Fourways is a centre in Tyldesley, which supports people who have physical disabilities, sensory impairments, or an acquired brain injury.  The aim is to help people to be as physically, psychologically and socially independent as possible, in order to take an active part in their local community.

At Fourways, we assess people's needs, and provide appropriate support to meet those needs. The support we provide has been developed in partnership with people who use our services, their families and friends. The service is provided by Wigan Council and is partly funded through the Supporting People grant. It consists of:

  • Accommodation service
  • Short breaks service
  • Day service
  • Information technology (IT suite)

In order to attend Fourways, you need to have been referred by a social worker. If you haven't got a social worker, you should contact the Central Duty Team and ask for a social work assessment.

The assessment helps us to decide whether or not you are eligible to receive services. We use Department of Health guidance 'Fair Access to Care Services' to work out your eligibility.
