Chatham Partnership

The Chatham Parntership is a day service run and controlled by people with a physical disability, sensory disability and an acquired brain injury.
Chatham House

The centre is based in Leigh, and its focus is on social inclusion, partnership working, and helping people who use the service be as independent as possible.

Daily meetings take place to discuss the running of the service. This ranges from managing budgets, working on reception, recuiting and selecting staff, and domestic arrangements (shopping, washing up, organising refreshments, etc). The aim is to create an environment where people and their abilities come first.

There are also opportunities for people who use the service to access community facilities, e.g. colleges, libraries, sports centres, etc.

To access the service, you first need to have an assessment of your care needs. The assessment helps us to decide whether or not you are eligible to receive services. We use Department of Health guidance 'Fair Access to Care Services' to work out your eligibility.

To arrange for an assessment, contact the Central Duty Team.

Please note: We will be moving to Leigh Sports Village in the near future to set up a service for inclusive living.  Watch this space!
