At Douglas Valley Children's Centre we offer:
- nursery education for children aged 3 – 4 years
- childcare services for children aged 0 – 11 years
- children’s centre services for children and families
Under 3’s
Our Under 3’s department offers full day care from 8.00am to 6.00pm for 51 weeks of the year. It comprises of the baby room which caters for up to 15 children aged 0 – 2 years and the toddler room which caters for up to 16 children aged 2 – 3 years.
Pre school
Our pre school can take up to 52 children for funded education sessions during term time. Children are entitled to 15 hours of funded education per week; these can be taken across 5 days, 4 days or 3 days. In addition parents can choose to take up additional provision.
Parents can opt to access wrap around care whereby they can add breakfast club, after school club or they can purchase additional sessions to the funded hours during term so allowing them to access care between 8.00am to 6.00pm during term time.
Out of School Care
Our Out of School Clubs cater for children aged 3 – 11 years and comprise of:
- Breakfast Club – 8.00am – 9.00am.
- After School Club – 3.30pm – 6.00pm
Breakfast club and after school club are available to children attending Douglas Valley Children’s Centre, Mab's Cross Community Primary School and St Mary and St John Catholic Primary School.
Children accessing out of school care from Mab’s Cross Community Primary School and St Mary and St John Catholic Primary School travel to and from school by walking bus.
