Sure Start Children’s Centres are at the heart of the Government’s strategy to deliver better outcomes for children and families. It aims to achieve these outcomes by the provision of integrated education, care, family support, health services and support with employment to families with children aged less than 5 years.
Each Children’s Centre must meet a Core Offer which includes:

- Family support and parental outreach
- Child and family health services
- Links with schools and Children’s Information Service
- Links with Job Centre Plus
