The 0-11's Children and Families Service aim is to work together with Children in Need aged 0-11 years and their families, other professionals and the local community, to enhance the quality of family life and prevent family breakdown wherever possible.

Services Available
There are six centre’s throughout the borough, offering a range of services to children in need aged 0-11 years and their families:
- family work in the centre, the home or in the community;
- individual or group work with children aged 4-11 years;
- parenting assessments;
- parent / carer groups; and
- access to other professional, such as Sure Start, child and family mental health services, drugs & alcohol misuse teams, housing, counselling and Citizens Advice Bureau.
Families can expect:
- an assessment of need;
- a named worker;
- an individual package of support;
- professional advice and guidance; and
- access to departmental policies and procedures.
