Beech Hill and Sacred Heart Children's Centre is a joint initaitive between Beech Hill Community Primary School and Sacred Heart CP School. Both schools have excellent community facilities and offer a range of activities for families and children.
What services does the children's centre offer?
- The Stay and Play Project offers a number of sessions each week for children under 5 and their parents / carers and will soon offer a toy library
- Breakfast, afterschool and holiday clubs
- Homestart outreach services, offering support to families in the area
- Jobcentre Plus drop-in for benefit, training or returning to work advice
- Adult learning opportunities
- Children's Book Library
- Holiday activities
- Unify Credit Union
- Counselling through the Wigan Family Welfare service
- Freephone service to link you with council services
- Information kiosk to help find information about a variety of local services
Both sites have a receptionist / information assistant who can provide a range of information and leaflets on local services from the NHS to Smoking Cessation and Healthy Eating and Living.
