The centre is based within a network of school and community buildings throughout the reach area. There are two small but welcoming information shops which can accommodate smaller projects in addition to providing advice, guidance and high quality information.
Bedford and Higher Folds Children's Centre is a dual site initiative. To support children in their development, the team values and promotes partnership working with parents, carers, volunteers and the wider community at various venues within the area. Bedford and Higher Folds Children’s Centres offer a wide range of good quality activities and services are available in the area such as:
- Childcare
- Breakfast club
- After school care
- After school activities and holiday clubs
- Parent/carer toddler groups
- Dads clubs, family fun and healthy living
- Family support and parental outreach
- Unify Credit Union
- Jobcentre Plus
- Links to child and family health services.
- Family Learning
- Adult learning opportunities, including basic ICT courses
The centre is also developing a Parents Forum, where parents/carers will be able to make suggestions and shape how the children’s centre services will develop. Any parents who would like to be a part of the forum, please contact Adrian Kearsley the Centre Coordinator.
