Are you a football fan, if so our new scheme may just be the ticket for you. In partnership with Wigan Athletic Football Club and Leigh Centurions Rugby Club, we have been able to arrange FREE TICKETS for carers to attend some of the home matches. The aim is to give carers a break from their caring role. One carer who has benefited from the scheme said: “The whole experience was excellent. No problems picking up the tickets, good seat at match. Relieved stress, thoroughly enjoyed my day. Thanks.” Another carer commented: "The chance to go out for 1-2 hours to an event is great. This scheme, and others that Wigan Council provide, shows the commitment that you have to the hundreds of unpaid carers you have in your borough. Thank you."
In response to requests from carers, we have now extended this scheme to include tickets to attend Wigan Warriors rugby matches.
