There are a total of 126 dedicated disabled parking spaces in Wigan and Leigh Town Centres and these include:
Wigan Town Centre
- From 1st March 2013 free disabled badge parking will no longer be available on the surface car parks.
- Pay & Display tariffs apply and on purchase of the relevant tariff there will be a concession of 2 hours additional free parking.
- A valid blue badge must be displayed
Wigan On-Street
- Pay and Display On-Street
Leigh Town Centre
From 1st March 2013 free disabled badge parking will no longer be available on the surface car parks.
Pay & Display tariffs apply and on purchase of the relevant tariff there will be a concession of 2 hours additional free parking.
A valid blue badge must be displayed.
- 7 spaces – Doctors Nook car park
- 2 spaces – Lord Street
- 22 spaces – Spinning Gate
- 2 spaces Church Street
When vehicles are parked in a dedicated disabled parking space a valid blue disabled badge must be displayed at all times.
In addition holders of a valid blue disabled badge may park in the on-street Pay and Display bays - Multi-Storey car parks are excluded.
