If issued after the CPZ’s annual renewal date, the permits will still expire when the next renewal date is reached and not 12 months from the permit's issue.
Entitlement
Each household may purchase ONE annual visitors permit in the periods applicable in each zone. The applicant's address must be within the individual CPZ for which the permit is being applied. You do not have to drive or own a vehicle to obtain an annual visitor permit. In order to purchase the permits you must provide proof of residence. These permits can be applied for at the same time as other permits and the same proof of residence can be used.
Permit cost
The cost of an annual visitor permit is £2. This is discounted by 50% to residents who hold disabled blue badges, are aged over 60 years or to churches. Proof of eligibility will have to be produced upon application.
Documents
- Proof of Residence: for example a recent utility bill - electricity, water and gas only
- Age or Disability: you must provide proof of residence and vehicle ownership with your application – photocopies are acceptable for applications.
One of the following forms of identification will be acceptable as proof:
- Current Driving Licence
- Current Council Tax bill
- Pension or Benefit book
- Housing Association/Rent Book
- Birth Certificate
- Medical Card
- Any other official document showing your date of birth
- A valid disabled blue badge

Permits can be applied for by post or in person.
