Our Aim and Commitment
On-street parking is a serious problem in certain parts of the borough. We must control parking effectively for the economy and quality of life for everyone concerned. Inconsiderate and illegal parking has a negative effect on all of these things. Wigan Council has a reputation for providing high-quality services to the people of the borough and we are constantly looking for new ways to improve these for everyone concerned - including people who do directly use our services such as pedestrians, children and those using public transport.
