This work is carried out by Contractors under the supervision of the Bridges Section.

  • Minor maintenance is carried out by a Term-Contractor’s two-man team under the direct control of the Bridge Inspector.
  • Major maintenance is carried out by a Contractor from the Council’s Standing Lists following a competitive tendering process using full contract documentation. The work is supervised by an Engineer and Clerk of Works.
