Pledge for a safer borough
Wigan Council has pledged to make our roads safer by introducing a 20mph speed limit in residential areas. We need your help to make this happen.
The introduction of a 20mph speed limit will improve road safety throughout the borough, saving lives and preventing serious injuries.
We want all of our residents and particularly children and young people to be able to walk, cycle and play safely on our streets.
The borough’s public leaders including our partners at Greater Manchester Police (GMP), Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue and the NHS are supporting the introduction of a 20mph speed limit across residential roads in the borough.
