The waste management team are keen to promote good practice and give advice to schools and residents about ways to reduce their waste and reuse where possible. The waste education officer is able to visit schools, colleges, community groups and other venues to discuss all aspects of recycling.
You can contact the waste education officer to arrange a visit, or just to learn more about recycling. He can advise on what practical steps you can take to reduce your rubbish, and innovative ways to recycle more materials. This officer is part of a wider group who, as the environmental education team, form a regular part of many schools' and community groups' eco activities.
