Are all trees protected in a Conservation Area?

Most trees are protected, however if the tree is under 75 mm or 100 mm in the case of thinning to improve other trees, you do not need to notify the council.

Do I need to apply for permission to carry out work on a tree in a Conservation Area?

Although you do not need to apply for permission you do need to give the council six weeks notice of any works you wish to carry out.
