The document has an introduction to the historical development of Leigh. Then for each of the Conservation Areas it sets out a definition and summary of the special interest of the area, activities and uses, spatial structure - form and density, a detailed character analysis, trees and green elements, the public realm and finally it reviews the Conservation Area boundary. A Management Plan sets out some proposals to deal with issues raised in each area appraisal.
