Public art enriches our surroundings, symbolises community identity and adds value to developments.
There is a growing number of public art installations around the borough. In order to provide information on some of these artworks for visitors, schools and community groups, the council has developed a public art trail for Wigan Town Centre together with a supporting education pack.
In addition, there is a Guidance Note (.pdf, 651Kb) for developers available and advice can be provided on instructing artists.
