The Outdoor Education Team, within the Youth Service, delivers a wide range of exciting activities for young people of all abilities across the Borough.
With an emphasis on building confidence, developing self esteem and self awareness, we provide outdoor opportunities that develop the learning of new skills, creativity and qualifications.
Working in partnership with area teams, schools, voluntary groups and other agencies, we deliver nationally accredited programmes of activity that often support wider programmes of work with young people.
We make use of many local venues for our activities including our well equipped Scotmans Flash Water Activity Centre and local country parks. All our staff are fully qualified and we are licensed under the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority with approved centre status with the British Canoe Union and Royal Yachting Association.
