Youth Work is delivered to young people 13-19 years across the Borough in a range of informal education experiences i.e. school or colleges, youth clubs, street corners, parks and cafes.
The programmes offered aim to be challenging, developmental and enjoyable. Youth Work seeks to enable young people to make informed decisions about their own lives and aims to contribute to their personal and social development. As well as a wide range of youth work programmes that are delivered by each of our Area Teams, they also run a Young People's Council/Action Group where young people can get involved in local decision making.
Once a year there are elections for young people to choose their UK Youth Parliament Representatives (Youth Participation).
