Core Standards

The core standards apply to all newly qualified teachers (NQTs) who started induction from September 2007 onwards. These standards help to guide teachers professional development and choices throughout their careers.

Statutory Guidance

The Education (Induction Arrangements for School Teachers) (England) Regulations 2008 give statutory force to NQT Induction and detail what is required of schools and local authorities.
