Special Education Needs (SEN) Governors Conference

The SEN Conference is an opportunity for Governors to receive and share vital information about SEN from relevant officers from the authority.  It is also a chance for Governors to  discuss their own views and experiences.

The aim of the SEN Conference is to provide you with an SEN and Inclusion audit to support self-evaluation.

It will also provide you with information about the new national and local initiatives for Inclusion and SEN.

You will be able to help your schools self evaluation in relation to:

  • The National Inclusion Development Programme
  • Dyslexia Friendly Schools
  • Audit Commisions new 'Value for Money' guidance for SEN
  • Supporting pupils with additonal needs - English as an Additional Language, pupils with behaviour diifficulties, literacy and numeracy
  • Supporting school self-evaluation for SEN and Inclusion
