The aim of this course is to raise awareness of childhood overweight and obesity in Wigan and how schools can tackle this issue
By the end of the session you will have an:
- Increased awareness of the government policy (PSA 12) programme taking place in your school from September 2008
- Understanding of how to raise the topic sensitively with parents or carers
- Understanding of practical ways your whole school can support overweight and obese children
- Increased awareness of treatment programmes (Fit 4 Fun Academy)
and how to access them
