Admissions to Primary Schools 2012
If you have a child who was born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008 and you want a place at primary school, you will need to apply for a primary school place for the 2012/13 school year.
You should make your application to the local authority in which you live. The application process for Reception places for September 2012 starts on 4 November 2011.
Primary schools will send information about how to apply to parents who have registered an interest at the school. If you live in Wigan and have not yet registered an interest you may do so at any Wigan primary school.
The closing date for applications is 15 January 2012.
Applications submitted after this date are classed as late.

Voluntary Aided (Church) Schools
If any of your preferred schools is a voluntary-aided (church) school, you are strongly advised to fill in the school's own supplementary information form as well as the Wigan Council primary school application form. You can get a copy of the supplementary information form from the school,
