Determined admission arrangements for 2013-14
The School Admissions (Admission Arrangements and Co-ordination of Admission Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2012
In accordance with the The School Admissions (Admission Arrangements and Co-ordination of Admission Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2012 Wigan Council as the Local authority, has now determined its admission arrangements and has details of the determined admission arrangements for 2013-14 for schools within Wigan Local Authority.
Community and voluntary controlled schools
Nursery
Primary schools
Secondary schools
Schools that are their own admission authority
This includes voluntary aided (church) schools, foundation schools, academies, free schools, University Technical College (UTC)
Parents' right of objection
Any person or body has a right to object to admission arrangements, subject to the relevant sections of the above act; conditions to be met (regulation 24) and objections that cannot be made (regulations 21 or 22). Objections can be made in writing to: The Secretary, Office of the Schools Adjudicator, Mowden Hall, Staindrop Road, Darlington, DL3 9BG. Any objections must be sent by 30 June 2012.
