As a Local Authority (LA), Wigan has a general responsibility to promote high standards for all pupils, including those who have special educational needs (SEN). Our SEN Policy outlines the support available for children and young people with SEN in Wigan.
Wigan’s commitment to the principles of inclusive education is a key feature of its SEN provision. A range of services and partners have contributed to the Inclusion Agenda and the Inclusion Strategy (.pdf, 59kb) will continue to be developed and expanded over time.
