The Professional Development Centre (PDC) is based in Park Road, Hindley and is the main venue for the delivery of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for staff in schools and also within CYPS.
The facilities include:
- A lecture theatre with a capacity of 60
- 2 dedicated ICT suites (1 with 20 workstations and 1 with 12 workstations)
- 4 fully equipped training rooms
- 1 meeting room (maximum capacity 13)
- Video conferencing
- A comfortable lounge serving complimentary refreshments to visitors during the day
- The provision of a range of buffet lunches at competitive prices
- Extensive car parking with on-site evening security.
The PDC is extensively used by teams within CYPS and, subject to availability, can be hired by other Council departments as well as external providers.
