Aiming High

The Learning and Development team has commissioned over 40 hours of high quality e-learning suitable for anyone working or who wants to work with disabled children and young people and linked to the Aiming High for Disabled Children Project.

Workforce development is a challenge that faces everyone working with disabled children, young people and their families. To address this KIDS has created a suite of e-learning which has been mapped against National Minimum Standards for Domiciliary Care, Play and Youth Work.

This e-learning package contains 41 modules and can be used by everyone who has contact with disabled children and young people. The package is currently being used by Short Break workers, volunteers, sessional staff and permanent employees both within KIDS and also in Local Authorities.

With over 40 modules available now the package is flexible enough to cover a range of different requirements – from those who need a simple introduction and overview through to those working disabled children and young people on a daily basis.
