We aim to support schools through:
- INSET for staff in school
- Working with Senior Management and Co-ordinators at a strategic level
- Every Child Matters advice and guidance re: ‘Achieve Economic Well Being’ and ‘Make a Positive Contribution’
- Self Evaluation Form advice and guidance following OFSTED inspection with regard to work related learning and enterprise. Where do we go next?
- Support to identify links within your local community to enhance the quality of learning and teaching
- Access to network meetings for specialists and non-specialists in work related learning and enterprise
- Providing information, guidance and resources
- Piloting new initiatives from businesses and organisations at a local, regional and national level including our Walk the Food Chain project in partnership with Myerscough College
- Celebrating and sharing good practice
Home School Links promote work related learning and enterprise through meetings, parents evenings, workshops, INSPIRE sessions, after school clubs .
The following are examples of learning experiences that will be charged at an individually based rate:
- Enterprise activities a wide range of enterprise opportunities is available. Examples include training and delivery packages, events at curriculum centres and in schools.
- Visits to Curriculum Centres These nationally recognised centres offer programmes tailored to the Curriculum for the Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum in a wide range of inspiring learning environments.
- Supporting schools to prepare for the Excellence in Work Related Learning Award using the self-review framework that enables school to audit current practice and informs future work related learning and enterprise activity at a strategic and practical level
- Access to a wide range of continuing professional development programmes in the business community
- Reading Partners includes training, CRB check, set up costs, monitoring and evaluation for up to 10 partners.
