At any time during their school career pupils may experience a learning difficulty which may be mild and short term to severe, complex and long term. When such difficulties arise schools may need help and support to meet the needs of the pupils.
Learning Support Service
Link Teacher Team
The Learning Support Service provides support, advice and guidance for schools and settings in order to increase the presence, participation and progress of all pupils. Members of the team have particular expertise in helping schools and settings to work successfully with children and young people who have additional learning needs.
Specialist Teaching Team
The Specialist Teaching Team provides individual tuition to those pupils who have been identified as dyslexic. These pupils usually have a statement of special educational needs which identifies a specific learning disability (dyslexia).
