There are 32 full time equivalent places available (16 in each Key Stage). The staff at the unit work with these pupils to try and remediate problems they may have had in school so that they can return with strategies to help them cope better.
If they are permanently excluded then a new school place will be found and the pupil will be supported during their reintegration.
