The strategy states how the council will deliver the vision and values stated in the (Comprehensive) Equal Opportunity Policy. The strategy includes an action plan from 2004-2008.

The Council has taken the position of producing a single Equalities Scheme in line with the government’s position in creating a single Equality Commission.
