Schools collect and store personal information about their pupils and parents/carers. From time to time information is used or given for certain reasons to organisations which are allowed by law. It is the responsibility of the school to inform parents/carers and pupils over the age of 13 of this in a Fair Processing Notice (FPN). Layer 1 of the FPN is a brief notice that is sent out by all schools, Layer 2 contains the details of the organisations who have access to information and the uses they make of it.
