Taking part this year are Councillors Judith Atherton, Robert Bleakley, Steve Dawber, Barry Fagan, Gareth Fairhurst and Joe Haley. The game is available for anyone to view on the above link using Guest access.

Mayor for the Day - Thursday 15 October
This year we have been looking for two young Mayors for the Day, and young people have been telling us about why they think the Mayor should pay them a visit! The Mayor and his young colleagues will enjoy a day of civic functions and all youth groups will get an opportunity to show off their work
U-Spend: Young People's Budgeting event - Thursday 15 October
Last year, Wigan Council's Cabinet held a joint meeting with young people to talk about their important issues. This was so successful that now some young people have formed a Youth Cabinet of their own which will be recognised by the Council. The group's meeting during Local Democracy Week will open up a debate on budgeting issues to a wider group of young people.
Young people share their views around the table - Local Democracy Week 2008
DVD Competition
Three schools in the Borough have taken on the challenge of telling us what local governance means to them...we will be using these at key events in the Borough and showcasing them on our webpages.
Young Reporters - all week
A group of keen young journalists will be exercising their skills and helping us to write about the events of the week. The results will be published on this page and in the local press. If you would like to be one of our young reporters and learn some journalism skills, find out more here:
