To make our vision reality we will need to work hard with all our partners.
We, the Council, can’t do everything that’s needed, so working in partnership with others is important to us. We work with local people, churches, business, the police and health professionals. Together with our partners, we make up the Wigan Borough Partnership.
The partnership has consulted local people, looked at opportunities and challenges for the future, and agreed a Community Plan. We have also set up Township Forums to develop local action plans based on the overall Community Plan and their own local priorities.
However, our most important partners are local people and part of our work is to help them to help themselves.
