This updated charter is for people aged 18 and over with long-term care needs and their carers. This includes people with:
- an addiction to drugs or other chemical substances, including alcohol
- learning disabilities
- a life-limiting illness or who are HIV positive (or both)
- mental health problems
- physical disabilities or a sensory impairment
- physical or mental frailty
A summary of this charter is available, on request, in community languages, Braille, on compact disc or audio tape, in large print and in pictorial format for people with learning disabilities.
