Residents in Orrell, Lamberhead Green, Kitt Green, Pemberton and Norley Hall are being encouraged to check out their new library which is offering more for everyone.
Library services currently being delivered from Orrell Library will relocate one mile to the site of the new Abraham Guest Specialist Sports & Arts College, Greenhey from April 6.
Library hours will be extended to include evening openings until 8pm and there will be more free internet access as the number of PCs is increased from five to eight.
Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust’s Taryn Pearson, Head of Lifelong Learning and Information, said: “Residents will be able to access library services in a modern, exciting setting with more choice than before.”
A special week of events will be held on the week commencing March 8 at Orrell Library to mark the relocation and to provide more information about the new site.
