If you’ve ever fancied growing your own fruit and veg in the garden at home, but not known where to start, then why not go back to school this spring.
Hindley High School has just started an adults evening class for budding and experienced gardeners.
Julie Austin at the school said: “All you need is a bit of passion, a patch, a plot or a pot and you can enjoy the fruits of your labours, with expert guidance from local allotment society chairman John Ainscough.”
