How to Deal with Bogus Callers

Crime may be down in most parts of the UK but older people are still susceptible to becoming the victim of bogus callers and rogue traders.

Now the local branch of Age Concern is holding a special event to raise awareness around dealing with doorstep crime and how to make your home more secure.

It’s on Wednesday 24 March at the Queens Hall in Wigan between 10.00am and 12.30pm. Places are limited and people wanting to attend need to book in advance.

Lisa Garry of Age Concern said: ”The police, victim support and council trading standards will all be present and refreshments will be provided. There will also be a goody bag for everyone including a £5 shopping voucher for Morrisons and a discount voucher for Homebase.“

To book contact Lisa on 01942 615882.
