Wigan Rotary Club is preparing to donate cash to local good causes with a Dragon’s Den-style event.
Local groups based in the postcode areas WN1, WN3, WN5 and WN6 are invited to submit their request and then will be invited along to put their case to “the dragons” in a three-minute pitch.
Rotary President Bob Inglis said: “In these hard financial times when we are all feeling the pinch, then I am sure local groups could greatly benefit from a donation of a few hundred pounds – and don’t worry, we don’t expect the pitch to come from a trained public speaker!”
