Having considered a report to bring forward the external works to Douglas House to 2009/10, approve a rephasing of the HRA Capital Programme to enable this and award the contract to G and J Seddon with exception to the Contract Procedure Rule that requires a tender process to be undertaken before the award of a contract and after consulting the Cabinet Champion for Healthier Communities and Older People Champion (and who retains the Wigan and Leigh Housing client role), I made the following Executive Decision:-
- To agree to bring forward in 2009/10 the external works to Douglas Housing planned to start in 2010/11.
- Approve the amendment to the HRA Capital Programme.
- Approve an exception to the provision of the Contract Procedure Rule that requires a tender process to be undertaken before the award of the contract in order to award the contract to G and J Seddon Limited who are currently undertaking improvements works on 5 blocks of flats in Scholes Village
Since this is an Executive Key Decision, the decision will come into force, and may then be implemented, on the expiry of five working days after the publication of the decision i.e. 16th November 2009, unless the six or more Members of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee’s object to it and call it in.
